Florida Gulf Coast Rugby Foundation dba Sarasota Surge Rugby Club is a 5013C non-profit that focuses on youth development, specifically mentoring our academy players in: self-respect, leadership, teamwork, communication skills, respect for others (even during a tough game), physical/mental stabillity and control under pressure.  We keep our fees low so everyone can participate and provide scholarships to players. 

Sarasota Surge Club History

The Sarasota Surge Ruby Club was founded in 2010 by a small group of International and American rugby players to fill the need for rugby in the area. 

Our club consists of a burgeoning Youth Academy and a competitive Men's Rugby Club.  Our aim is to focus on a structure with ages ranging from: U11, U13, U15, High School teams and the Men's squad.

We welcome new, veteran and social members at all times throughout the season (Sept - April).  Our players come from all over the world and Rugby is one of the fastest growing sports on the East coast of America.  The club regularly hosts travelling teams from other parts of the world.

Sarasota Surge Rugby club has the ethos that we are Family. This is a sports club that puts community first as we look to constantly grow, develop, and improve not only ourselves - but also those around us.
